10 Moments That Make Me Feel Alive

Of course, one of them is my 10 month old niece.
“Being alive does not necessarily lead to feeling alive.” ― Mokokoma Mokhonoana
For me feeling alive means nothing takes me away from being fully present in a moment.
- The first kiss after two weeks have elapsed since I last saw my significant other.
- When someone appreciates my writing or photography. The feeling of having your work witnessed by another person is irreplaceable.
- A comedian that speaks the truth and makes me slightly wet my pants in the process.
- A hot and yummy bowl of soup after coming in from a cold winter day on the East Coast.
- Hiking in a beautiful and all natural landscape. Never have I ever felt more alive than when I am completely surrounded by undeveloped natural settings.
- Soaking my feet in a CBD or epsom salt bath after a long day.
- Looking at my life right now and seeing the ways I grew past my fears and doubts.
- My niece’s smile. She only has a few teeth at 10 months old and that gummy smile gets me every-time.
- The aromas of freshly grounded coffee beans in the morning. I guess I really am a writer at heart.
