Everything is Temporary

This is a phrase I remind myself of every day when I wake up in the morning and before I go to bed.

When it comes to our lives, many of us are afraid of the word temporary. It is difficult to think that our lives will end at a time and date that we will never know, and that we only have now. The fact that I have to leave this earth at some point doesn’t scare or intimidate me. I signed a contract when I was born that I would leave it at some point too. I use this knowledge to give me the energy I need to live my moments to the fullest.

You can use the knowledge that everything is temporary to your advantage if you let go of what has already passed and focus on what is happening right now. My knowledge of this only came to me in my mid-20’s and has been a transformative influence in my life. As you journey through these temporary moments we are all given today, consider these questions.

Should I be putting myself on pause?

Should I be putting what I truly desire on hold?

Should I be wasting my time thinking about what has or will happen?

Should I be pushing what ignites my love for life to the side?
