On Self-Love

As the daughter of immigrants, there are great things I have learned, but self-love was not one of them.

In the era of self-love where we as a collective are learning the weight of what those words mean for us as individuals, and the impact they can have when embodied, it does not pass me by that many of us did not grow up with the language of self-love.

How is that you

Can be raised

To be kind to others….

But, harsh to yourself.
