Owning the Whole Process
People tend to shy away from their missteps when they should embrace them as an important part of the learning process.
Learning to cherish the whole process is where joy lives. -Laveet
When I identify aspects of my life with a verb, I acknowledge that they can change. As I follow them, they become a way to do things, and at any time, I can respond to a changing situation. Our lives are filled with so many things that are not discussed as processes that can be edited, recreated, and snipped. Hell, LIFE is one big process.
There are many shades of it at any given moment, and we need to be present for everything, including the hiccups along the way. Making mistakes is a part of the process of being you. It is helpful to view any “errors” you make along the way as lessons to learn from, so you can keep moving forward. Remember that the next time something challenges you to take ownership of the entire process!
Additional Thoughts
- Be experience. Feel the process. Be present for both the experience and process.
- See yourself as a process. A never ending relationship. A space that can grow and evolve and die.
