Setting and Understanding Intentions
Stay curious enough to dive into why you do the things you do, say the things you say, and live the way you choose to everyday.
Don’t waste your energy trying to change opinions. Do your thing, and don’t care if they like it. Tina Fey
Setting intentions can be an impactful way to keep the mind focused while navigating the uncertainty that exists in life. Staying committed to intentions can be grounding when one struggles. My intentions have changed over the course of days, months, and years. I give myself the space to edit and recreate them according to what I want from my daily life. To me, what matters most is creating a life I look forward to when I wake up.
The other side of intentions that I learned much later in life is understanding myself through them. Stay with me. Sometimes we don’t know why we react or feel a certain way in a situation. In these moments, I prefer to dive in and evaluate my intentions since they aren't always healthy. When I am aware of what isn't working, I can take the first step towards fixing it.
Intentions are like me; they can be changed! We all have intentions, reasons why we do the things we do. Some are conscious while others are unconscious. The more we work to uncover them and start to consciously craft them, we can claim our power back.
