Why Your Beliefs Are Everything

The first time I started seriously considering my well-being, I left out one element: my beliefs.

Imagine waking up in the morning, eating healthy, working out your body, and still feeling like crap. This is exactly what happened to me. When I first started thinking about my well-being rituals, I didn’t consider that the quality of my thoughts and beliefs would tie everything else together. My thoughts and beliefs were heavily skewed toward the negative side.

I discovered that following a nutrition and exercise regimen didn’t matter if the thoughts that you invested in put you down and questioned your inherent worth and value. This is where affirmations came into my life. I underestimated their power before but never again. Here’s what I learned:

  1. You can’t thrive when you believe certain things about yourself especially things that chronically bring you down and devalue you.
  2. What holds your entire well-being ritual together is believing that you are worthy and speaking positively to yourself.
  3. If negative thoughts work well at making you feel like crap then positive thoughts work at making you feel more at home in yourself.

Start learning to appreciate yourself everyday when you wake up and before you hit your pillow at night. Don’t underestimate the power of
